It’s not a consulting role, you just administer firm knowledge and help projects with information.
Exit ops care about titles.
Send them my way. I am in need of a job and I'll take it if given
Why don't you go through a round or two to learn more about the role? You've got nothing to lose. Also, try to think long term.
I’m being too bratty about the “analyst” title??
I agree with E2 and practically speaking, I don’t want to waste either of our time if the salary is below my current salary. The JD says advanced degree preferred with 1 to 2 years of experience so it sounds like I’m a little overqualified but I don’t know how to broach that without sounding like a dick? The work sounds interesting so I’m curious if there are open positions at a higher level? Only 15% travel which sounds kind of enticing.
Can they offer the rank higher?
Thanks BCG1, that’s kind of what I was afraid of but the JD made it sound a little more interesting. I think I got a little too excited about a local DC role that isn’t federal consulting but I think I would get bored with this more support type role.
That’s a good idea, D1. I’m still considering how I will respond to the recruiter tomorrow.
Funny enough, I’m also prepping for an interview with Deloitte S&O in a few weeks. I think that’s more what I’m looking for right now as I only have one year of consulting experience, the rest is industry.

@OP feel you in the DC fed lyfe for local
Yup. Not typically client facing. Research team
