Everyone i know plans to join TCS as retirement plan. Everyone believes that job is very safe and one can survive as long as they want without doing much. I find this unrealistic as at the end of the day things have to get delivered , quality has to be maintained.
Is TCS really a semi-government and very safe job? I am sure they would be firing people in bench and over performance issues too.

My start date got pushed back a few months. I stand the risk of violating my status (on OPT) because of the 90 day rule. I told the company and they politely asked me to figure it out. I can’t find anyone who’s hiring right now. What are my options since the company doesn’t seem to care?

What is the severance package at PwC? I’ve been there 16 years. It’s imminent. Would appreciate any thoughts on if I have a case of wrongful termination. I took a short term disability leave from March-July 2021 for mental health reasons. When I told my bosses I was taking a leave - as soon as they found out It was for mental health they told me not to say anything more; they didn’t want to know. I feel helpless. All my applications seem to go down the drain. I get few recruiter calls (5% of the time), but it doesnt go beyond that. I meet the JD, and I do know that I talk and answer structurally. But, I get an email that the competition was high! Losing my self confidence 😭. Internal referral has not been helpful either.
