Anyone has interviewed for BCG Gamma data scientist roles? How does it compare to the regular consulting path in terms of salary, hours, etc?

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!

I just had an interview at C1 but noticed that the role was just reposted yesterday. I interviewed on Tuesday. Does anyone know what this could be mean? I am feeling very disheartened. I prepped and worked so hard to do well on the interview.

What is the salary range for servicenow consultants with 7 years of experience.

Is it worth, future money wise, within the same company, try to switch from a support role to a software dev one? End of the day you know all the domain, also have some strong foundation on Java, which is the preferred language in the place. I guess in the long term, such a movement will play out greatly. What do you think?

Do you typically share your salary or salary expectations with recruiters on the first interview? I’ve had instances where the interviewer flat out tell me the range of salary band via email even prior to initial interview. I think this is a great way to set expectations from the get go and will save both parties time - but some companies like to play the “game” and get you to share numbers first, which I find very annoying. What have your experiences been with salary expectations?

I finished my interview rounds and had a fairly strong feeling it went very well. Its been a week and now they’ve come back saying they’ll need another 2 weeks to revert while they interview other candidates. Does this mean I’m automatically out if they’re considering other candidates rather than directly making an offer?

Planning on moving to Denver from LCOL, my cost of living research seems to show Denver as MCOL- HCOL. What do you guys rank it as? Trying to figure out what salary ranges to be looking for at 1.5 yr YOE tax.

Friday afternoon vent: we hired an in-house litigation attorney two months ago. I was expecting to have to teach him the company/industry. Instead he needs in depth computer training.

Examples of things he has needed my help with:

1. Saving a word doc as a pdf
2. Bookmarking a webpage
3. Creating a new folder in his documents folder
4. Printing emails to pdf for exhibit use
5. He refuses to even download Adobe
6. And has barely even tried to learn the main program we use for tracking stuff.

Anyone here experience positive results from 12-3-30 (or 10-3-30)? Basically walking on a high incline on the treadmill?

Recuiter gave me 15lpa offer with 20k variable and then changes to 14lpa with 45k variable and mentioning that 15lpa offer is courrupted and sorry we did mistake 🥲🥲

If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB?  Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?

Any tips on how to make a formatted data table pivot-able? One of my data vendors shares info in non-CSV/non-pivotable format, so for instance the first 4 columns are fine but then the subsequent 60 are labeled non-uniquely (with months / years) across multiple measures. So I have to either concatenate measure&time and pull a million “values” into my pivot OR rebuild the table into a better format adding columns for “measure”and “month” and “year” and pasting the first 4 columns endlessly. TIA!

I have worked with Forbes top companies, for-profits, non-profits, & startups. I consider myself a solver of complex & complicated problems requiring mixed method research & novel solutions. This has led to issues in self-referencing title. Talked to a recruiter about a Senior Portfolio Development Manager role at M12 (Microsoft’s VC). Base is 160-180k + 15% bonus + stock grant (idk how much this is). My current salary is 158 and will go up to 180k in July. I’m thinking it doesn’t make sense to apply for this role. Can someone validate my thoughts + share more information about the role if you have some?

Does Mck have worse working hours than BCG or Bain on average? I constantly see people posting about 70+ hour weeks while BCG and Bain seem to be closer to 60
