Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

No the pay is on par with classic BCG
What is the salary progression?
Less prestigious, less pay, same hours
BCG is strategy. Gamma is BCGs way of not losing out strategy cases that require some form of advanced analytics to Accenture or Deloitte. They can now pitch full ownership of end-to-end solutions but Gamma is still years behind the market in data science/AI
Feel like you need some analytics to resolve the pay question.
Thanks! Looking at the range of answers it seems like the strategy consulting group has little visibility on BCG Gamma benefits :) I did have the feeling it was behind in terms of technology though...
McK has QuantumBlack which is the closest thing to Gamma on the market
Most I’ve met have PHDs in analytics related fields
Pay is higher
If you are looking for same respect and responsibility of strategy as data scientist you will be unhappy in life—anywhere. On starship enterprise was jordy asking if people gave him same respect as Jean Luque Picard? Now and forever, there will always be a place for conciligiere, cheif engineer, cheif data dork...but separate and unequal to the captains chair. Make your peace with this or go be the captain “with a data background.” QED.
M1: QuantumBlack is part of McK Analytics, maybe someone from McK can give a more detailed answer
LinkedIn shows a significant number of lateral moves to Data Science roles back in industry. I’m sure work life balance and salary are enough justification for most
Gamma is absolutely not behind in tech. They are behind some players in scale, but not tech
What about exit opportunities? Where do people usually go after a few years?
EY1: Still such a new business so not a whole lot of data available on that. Roles such as Chief Data Scientist/Head of Analytics at clients seem to be popular exits though
What I know is I have one year working experience in risk modeling, a partner in BCG Gamma referred me, the recruiter called me the next day, and Ingot rejected. Not sure why
Gamma has the same pay (more in fact at Associate level) and is driving some of the coolest cases here
I cannot seriously imagine anybody putting Deloitte in the same RFP as Gamma unless it was a top tier client getting the "A team" or it was an actuarial thing...
What are alternatives to BCG Gamma? Does mck have a dedicated AI group?
Difference quantumblack vs mck analytics ?
