Last year, I applied for a developer role at BARCLAYS and subsequently cleared the Coding & Interview rounds but something happened & the position got cancelled, so I joined a startup instead which I had kept as a backup. But now, the latter is reducing its workforce and has given me a month to find a new job.

Also, I can see a few developer openings at BARCLAYS currently, so please let me know if any of you can refer me for this role as it would greatly help me.

I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ. But they told that they can send the revised offer letter 3 weeks before the joining date.
Is this normal process? Has anyone gone through similar experience?

Apparently “people have other interest than work” and “people are different and come from diff backgrounds” are foreign concepts to my partner. People on here seem to post about having been laid off whether they were fired or laid off. I pass 0 judgment, but does anyone else feel like there’s not a single person who comes on here and says he/she was fired. I would completely understand this language if this forum were not anonymous, but what’s with this, considering we’re all anonymous?

I know some actually were laid off, but for the others, are people just delusional or somehow embarrassed even though anonymous?
