Talked to a recruiter about a Senior Portfolio Development Manager role at M12 (Microsoft’s VC). Base is 160-180k + 15% bonus + stock grant (idk how much this is). My current salary is 158 and will go up to 180k in July. I’m thinking it doesn’t make sense to apply for this role. Can someone validate my thoughts + share more information about the role if you have some?

I live in a more conservative city. Does anyone feel like how you perform at work is a reflection of the gay community to your peers? I’m considering joining what I think is a promising startup applying machine learning to health plan operations. They already have 3 multi year deals signed with a national plan (payment integrity, provider data, and Medicare RAF scoring), outside of established players (Optum/Cotiviti) and some newer startups (Cogitativo), I don’t see much competition and it looks pretty promising, anyone know of other competitors or if I’m missing something? Seems pretty wide open to me.
