Are referrals the new references?

I think I've been asked to provide a ref list maybe twice ever. Definitely struggling to get into a new role with and without referrals.

i’m on a project where i’m working with an outdated data analytics language called SAS and i am not trying to stay and get stuck with this. i’m thinking about learning python or javascript to try and exit. i just don’t see how this project could help me in the future

I started a new job mid last month, but KPMG just got back to me nearly two months after an initial phone interview.

My current job is as a Senior Business Analyst at a boutique firm specializing in FinTech. A little boring if I’m being honest, but salary is 100k.

According to Glassdoor, the salary for this position at KPMG would be ~115k. Senior Associate for Cloud.

How terrible would I be if I ended up leaving my current job after two months? Can anyone actually stomach this?

Is now a terrible time to try and lateral within consulting at the Senior Consultant level? Looking at T2 and MBB. I have referrals lined up at the firms I’m most interested in but I have yet to apply. Are firms still hiring? FYI I’m in Supply Chain/Manufacturing tech and strategy.

A colleague has approached me about taking on a leadership position within a company resource group for minority colleagues. I am really interested in this group, have participated in some events, and would love to take on this position. However, not being a member of the minority group that the resource group supports, I feel slightly uncomfortable taking this position. Any advice?

Job offer A: IT Network Engineer at a Fortune 500. Deals with more legacy stuff like Cisco, Nokia etc. 2.5 weeks of PTO. Seems like company culture is definitely more refined/older. Position is on call once a month. 3 days WFH 2 days office

Job Offer B: Business analyst at a rapidly growing SaaS company. Unlimited PTO, no on call, glass door people all comment on how great the culture is. 3/4 days WFH rest in office.

Is anyone hiring for entry-level analyst positions? I have 4 years of relevant internship experiences at reputable companies & graduated 2 years ago. Preferably business-analyst or any related entry-level analyst roles (not investment banking).

I’ve recently joined a new role and noticed on my second payslip my student loan and postgraduate loan payments are ridiculously high. Does anyone know if this is normal in a new role?

I recently underwent full recruitment cycle for @Avascent from August to September until it was acquired by @OliverWyman in October. The HR of OW (formerly Avascent) requested to me wait until December for the final offer decision. My question is;

1) What are the odds Oliver Wyman will absorb the new hires that underwent the hiring process conducted by Avascent?

2) What should be the expected salary range for an Analyst in Canada in OW/Avascent

On a project where Consultant is acting like an SM, not in PMO role but a support staff. Asking status to everyone, playing off different people that they are working on xyz which I doubted. Recently, during colocation I witnessed they are not really working on other things. Professionally questionable behavior with another Manager who protects them. Strong bias from PPMD towards this individual. Thinking of leaving the project as I find this environment toxic. Thoughts?

Currently a y2 associate working in cloud Cybersecurity. I have an opportunity to transition out and into a private wealth firm and eventually become a financial advisor.
I would like to know what are realistic 5yr outlooks if I stay in Cyber, is manager possible?If so what would comp look like.
