I definitely wouldn't tell your team before the bonus hits. Maybe I'm just scarred from how they handled layoffs last year but I wouldn't trust anybody. Keep your secret until that $$ hits.
Do it honorably, don't burn bridges.
Give two weeks notice and then initiate. When I left (I've since boomeranged) I emailed hr, then my project leadership. I'd recommend you do the reverse to give leadership the chance to talk to you before you initiate. Once you notify hr, Hr will walk you through everything. I was on the bench at the time and they didn't ask me to expedite my departure.
Asking due to bonus considerations 👀
Pretty sure the formal notice period is for HR
I know, I would definitely tell my team and PPDs in person two to three weeks out. What my question was geared toward was giving the formal notice to HR and whether I can just give one weeks notice to them, for example
Tell your team before telling HR. You'll have to send a note to your RSLL, RM, Counselor, and project leadership. Have conversations with each of them, individually, first. You'll need to attach that note to your official trigger in the system, and that's when HR starts the process.
