I got an offer from a company, i have 90 days notice period in my current company. The new company is okay with that. Can I ask for a joining bonus with 90 days NP. Do you guys think it is a wise decision to ask for a joining bonus. What your view on this. Need all your suggestions

I feel like people in our profession fall into one of two camps regarding ethics.

First, you have those that take our profession too seriously and always insist on doing things in the most ethical way possible and sit on their ethical high horse for every single situation. This person is annoying.

Second, you have the people who think ethics are a waste of time and who live by the creed, it's not cheating if you don't get caught.

I interviewed for a real estate customer service manager at Prologis last week Tuesday. Interview was scheduled for 1 hour. I was with them for 2 hours. I was shown around the office and introduced to a few employees as well. On Thursday I received and email from the recruiting department to submit 5 references. All of my references completed the reference by Saturday afternoon. How long should I wait until I send them a follow up email??

I currently work in a mid tier asset management firm(7-10 Bn AUM) and am on path to become a assistant portfolio manager. I'm based out of Chicago but considering shifting to San Francisco for personal reasons. Are there good asset management companies in California or San Francisco? I've been looking at BAM, Millennium but there seems to be mainly engineering jobs out there. I'm also planning to do MBA and might make a move to private equity or VC later. Please advise.
