Is it racist or insensitive if a white coworker keeps dropping Spanish lingos/ phrases to me? I’m Asian. I’m sure it’s not a coincidence and that they like speaking Spanglish or anything. An in-house senior position I interviewed for promoted someone in a lower version of the title internally over me. The team loved me & wanted to hire me but was pushed by HR to promote internally. They essentially offered me the original person’s role (who was in a lower title role for many years & was most likely really senior anyway). I was told to wait a week or two for it to play out and for the new job to be created. Would they likely modify her original job 4 me? Should I stay optimistic?

Recruiter reached out, I responded asking day rate.

This is usually the time of year where there’s a lot of hiring. But there just seems to be a lot of layoffs. Is this because of the economy or is it the industry?

I am BEYOND done with my account team. Every project is a hot one, everything is a priority, everything needs to be done EOD. Then, clients expect that speed every time. It’s unrealistic. And unfair.

Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help? Or should I look elsewhere. Been at the agency almost 3 years, I feel like I need to switch things up for my sanity.
