There’s really no such thing as a false positive
I don’t see a double line
Test with a more reliable brand. I used the first response early result, tested daily after my iui because I’m nuts. I got my first squinty maybe line at 10 dpo, positive at 11, positive digital test at 12. You want something with results you can trust, assuming you ovulated a couple days before you think you did
Love me some first response early results!!! Though pricey. Relying on the expensive tests helps stave off some of the early impulses to test too early though!
Unless the product has changed a lot in the last decade, don’t test before 14 dpo to save yourself $$$s and anguish
Biology hasn’t changed! You’re realistically not going to implant until 8-10 DPO and then it’s 24-48 hours from that for HCG to hit detectable levels. Anyone who thinks they’re getting a positive at 6/7 DPO has miscalculated their ovulation date
But I did find that sometimes the longer the test sat, the more it looked like there was a faint line.
I know it’s hard but really try not to test until at least 10 DPO and even that’s early. You’ll drive yourself crazy squinting at lines. I’ve spent years in fertility treatment trying to get pregnant and finally learned that testing early and symptom spotting is a very special form of torture.
7 DPO is ridiculously early. If you are confident in your ovulation date I would say false positive
I had a faint second line 13 DPO. I knew it had happened though, so wasn’t really too shocked as I had done every possible thing to ensure my daughter happened 😅
I used this app, and this is the exact result I got also super early into pregnancy. Go get a digital first response test. It will tell you for sure.
I totally see the double line. I used to take tests obsessively (took us over a year to get pregnant) and would post images on countdowntopregnancy - it’s one of those sites where people can vote on it
Was it right away or after it dried?
I use the same app and I think results are only valid after a 3-5 minute window. Waiting 10 minutes is going to give you inaccurate results.
It is quite early, but test again in the morning!
I’m actually late and just read this which may help you.... If you decide to take a pregnancy test as early as 7 DPO and you get a negative result, take it again in 2–3 days.
I mean, I def see a line. Test again in the morning and see!
Try tomorrow.
Could be, could also just be indent/evap. Wait 48 hours and try again. If it’s really a positive, your HCG will have doubled in 48 hours and it will be very obvious and clear. 7DPO is ridiculously early.
- what are the chances you miscalculated O? Signed, infertile who took 3 years to get pregnant and took probably hundreds of tests.
Looks like a positive to me! Wait a couple days and try again
I’m pretty sure false positive is not a thing. Pregnancy tests test for a hormone your body only produces when pregnant. Plenty of false negatives, but positive is positive. At least that’s what my OB told me when I was pregnant with my first.
False positive is possible in almost any test. In this case, it can happen from user error or from non-pregnancy related explanations such as trophoblastic disease.
I see it! Mine was that early. I had twins.
