Currently looking at 2 potential roles. Accenture manager within interactive or an Engagement Manager at Google. Same city. Based on early discussions base salaires will be close enough to call it even. How does compensation and career progression differ at the two? Purely based in name I’d assume Google is the way to go….Accenture Google
Google job posting says min salary of 133k for an engagement manager in PSO. Does PSO really pay that low? Managers at Accenture make 180 with MBA. And is PSO basically just IT implementation for google clients? https://careers.google.com/jobs/results/84428754345960134-engagement-manager-telco-media-and-entertainment-google-cloud/?location=California,%20USA&q=Pso

Facebook (Meta) Hi all. I am an academic, who is fed up with academia. I am very much determined to find my way into industry. I have a PhD in cs, a good publication record and a couple of awards. I have applied for Research Data Scientist roles in Meta (UK), but I'm not sure my application gets seen without a referral ( got interviews from Amazon and IBM without referralls though). I tried to reach out to recruiters, but no response. So my question is: do I really need a referral? Or is it cv problem?
