1. Does EY deliver any office asset prior to the date of joining?
2. Will there be any other devices included in the welcome kit?
3. Is there any reimbursement policy available for wfh setup/ internet/ Phone bill?

I started a firm with three other colleagues about a year and a half ago. We all came from the same bigger firm and now obviously we are considered a very small. We want to make our first hire and hire someone for around $100,000 as a manager to manage around $200,000 of work. They came back at $120,000. After taxes and benefits that’s $150k to manage and prepare $200k of work. Anyone own a smaller firm who can share opinion? How much work should one manage for that kind of salary?

I have a CD that gets extremely flustered when you ask them for their opinion on a solution. For example after showing them multiple color pallets and CD not quite liking any of them (real Goldie locks moment) i suggested why not we do (fill in three colors here), the CD freezes up and gets annoyed because they don’t want to say yes or no without seeing it in front of them. Working on tight turn arounds and a cd who is too busy for meetings it proving tough with remote working. Any tips?

I was laid off and my last paycheck didn’t have my 401K deduction taken out, and the company match wasn’t made either. I contacted the company and they said because I wasn’t an employee when they cut the check , I’m not eligible to contribute. However, the pay was earned for hours worked before my layoff. There was no severance or vacation pay. This seems to be a violation of Federal law. Am I missing something? Should I open a case with the IRS?

Do you feel that in SEO there are too many ways of conducting the same tasks. I have had a string of managers within the past year, it’s starting to get very annoying as each person says method A is wrong and B is right, another manager would have the complete opposite view. Have you had similar experiences when this practice and adjustment begins to interfere with client deliverables.

I have been working like a dog for two weeks none stop for an emergency on a case. As the only junior, I’m juggling 10 different things on the case and still meeting deadlines. Worst of all, the partner asks me to complete drafts of documents by last night so we can have them finalized for the client. Work like hell ALL day to get them done - partner doesn’t even review them to send to the client and meet his own deadline. This is honestly a thankless job.
