I’m considering joining what I think is a promising startup applying machine learning to health plan operations. I am having 6.5 years of experience, had two rounds of interview at Cognizant for Performance test engineer. 1st round technical, 2nd round was managerial. Has anyone heard of Big 4 TAS layoffs?

Recently, i was "promoted" or, I should say, my title was changed to the next ring up the ladder. As a part of this, I went from reporting to Senior Management, to Junior Management. The Jr. Manager has good intentions, but, is not helpful. I've worked at the company longer, have accomplished more across multiple lines of business and have a much stronger internal network. Am I overreacting thinking this is a major slight that will ultimately slow down my growth within the company?
