Hi guys, I need a suggestion.
I am very new to devops domain like only 6 month of theoretical knowledge and i got offer pf a tech lead role in a company so will i be able to survive ? Will this 6 month knowledge with less hand-on is sufficient to survive or should i choose lesser profile first and try to learn and then try for higher role as tech lead? Guys who are working in devops domain please help me to understand that how is the work load in devops?

VP is a huge range in most banks. Depending on your role you can go from making $100k- $300k easily within the VP band. Some banks have an ED in between VP and MD and some don't. I have seen people being an ED in Chase joining as VP in another bank. That doesn't necessarily mean a demotion. Don't go by titles, as long as you are paid $$$$ your worth.
Discussing an ED position with JP Morgan, not in Investment Banking, HR is conveying $220k base plus $130k bonus. Any idea on % of ED who gets RSUs in the Operations team (not back office) and average $ grant value?
It works both ways. I have seen managers in consulting joining as Associate in a bank!
I hate to play the other side of this because you’re probably somewhat right - but don’t make the same mistake as me and underestimate the amount of organizational knowledge/networking/trust it takes to get LITERALLY ANYTHING done at a bank the size of JPMC.
It’s a black hole - but I would say that it’s closer to M than SM. From what I’ve seen, the handful of under-30 VP’s come out of consulting or other banks in high demand areas. However, average back office VP age is probably closer to 40. Differs drastically when you start talking front office.
I was a VP at 25 at JPMC. $65k salary, but in private wealth management so the total comp was closer to $200k. VP title means nothing at most banks.
Yea.... many VPs want to come in at Manager or Senior Manager, but only have 3/4 years of experience. It is WAY too inflated.
Ok so many i have a chance lol....
Hi at what level is senior 2 from consulting (transaction advisory from big 4) hired in J.P. Morgan at nyc? And what should be the salary expectation?
