I’m considering joining what I think is a promising startup applying machine learning to health plan operations. They already have 3 multi year deals signed with a national plan (payment integrity, provider data, and Medicare RAF scoring), outside of established players (Optum/Cotiviti) and some newer startups (Cogitativo), I don’t see much competition and it looks pretty promising, anyone know of other competitors or if I’m missing something? Situation: finished first round; advancing to next round; 1st round interviewers were at SM/D/P level.

If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB?  Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?

Project has not been going okay over the last 3 months, but continues onward through December. My client is beginning to have layoffs. Additionally, the client employee attitude towards consultants has become very negative.
