Linkedin is liking a bunch of posts on my behalf. I rarely log in and everytime I do I look at my recent activity and it shows I’ve liked posts on days where I didn’t even go in. Anybody else notice this?

Received an Internal Offer at Amazon for an L5 Business Analyst role for $79.6k, $7k relocation, +1 RSU (probably cause I already got 16 shares from my current position) for Austin, TX.

It’s a BA role, but I don’t have 0 yrs BA experience. I do however have logistics/ops knowledge which is in the realm of this role.

If you accept a salary reduction in these times in good faith, and then are laid off and your severance pay is based not on your original salary but this new one, then your company knew this in advance and may well have violated labor laws. Call a lawyer. They will not charge you if they do not recoup your money.

Do you think agencies will eventually require employees to come back into the office full time? Now that I’ve experienced the benefits of WFH, I can’t imagine commuting 5 days a week, paying for a dog walker, waking up earlier, buying lunches again, having to get ready every morning, etc. I do miss some aspects of the office, so ideally would do a couple days in and the rest WFH but worried I’ll eventually be forced to go back full time. I’ve always heard, in theory, that people at companies that have tobacco clients can choose to opt out of working on tobacco if they don’t want to. In practice, does that actually happen?

It feels like being an art director is the worst position. We’re expected to wear so many hats - concepting, writing, designing, animating, file management, retouching, etc etc. We do 80% of the work, put in the most hours, and then can’t progress because we don’t have the time to do “proactive briefs” and we burn out because the expectations are ridiculous. Has anyone successfully pivoted out of art direction and where have you landed?

Brutal reminder of how small our industry is: I was taking an informational interview at an in-house agency and someone who worked there happened to know me and my CCO (separately), and reported to my CCO that I was interviewing.
