What are your thoughts on the chief of staff role at a startup? I want to get into tech startups but don’t have an “idea” yet and am not a “builder/engineer”. Was not able to convince border officer I was still a management consultant and not just a people manager.

I'm being asked about my interest for a position as an IT procurement specialist at Cognizant. They want my resume and hourly rate. Thoughts on how to calculate my rate? I've been a management consultant almost 5 years, on promotion track to manager, currently making 92k. I'm not super interested in this job but would switch if it was better pay. Not fulfilled where I'm at right now.

Management consultant evaluating an offer from Google’s Go-to-market team (Strategy & Operations) in India. Two questions:
1. Given it’s an internal consulting role, are the hours equally bad / worse than consulting firms?
2. Is it virtually impossible to move to a product ladder after spending 1-2 yrs in the role?

How acceptable is it to customize role title on resume? As in, if its okay to say “Product Manager and Consultant” / “Product Management Consultant” vs official tittle of just Consultant? Consultant alone doesn’t say much and I’ve been designing web/mobile apps for a few years so the customization is apt, not BS.
