I'm interviewing for a project manager position at a place that provides support for a prominent Bay Area tech company. I was approached by a recruiter from Planet Technology. The role is a 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

What's the minimum hourly wage I'd need to make in order to live comfortably and afford health insurance in San Jose? I'm 30 years old w/out kids. My husband is currently unemployed so this is assuming that I'm supporting us both.

Appreciate any advice!

What salary range should I shoot for when applying for a technical project manager position?

For Project Manager and above interviews in Consulting, how long after each interview do you normally hear back from the recruiting team? Next day? Few days? A week?

Interviewing for a PWC Capital Project manager position. Any ideas of what to expect from the interview and any thoughts of what to ask for in salary?

I currently work in a data analytics role (Big 4). I have an offer from a mid-sized hedge fund to do business analytics (essentially management reporting), but have interviews with Google (product analyst - data science) and Citadel (compliance project manager) lined up. Is it worth foregoing the mid-sized hedge fund for the shot at the other roles? Hedge funds or tech the better place to be?

Anyone have any idea of pay ranges for HR Project Manager roles? Interviewing for a role and the recruiter told me they don’t have a range in mind yet - so I said 100-110K. Is that too low?

Job req is looking for 4-7 years of experience. I have 3 years of consulting experience and 3 years of HR experience.

My husband was asked to complete and given 4 scenarios to respond to. He has a great strategy for the content but unsure of the best way to present. Got feedback when I was talking to a recruiter internally for my company (UHG) -- I do internal strategy consulting and they refer to me as a senior manager but my title in the system is senior project manager...

Applying for a new role within the company and switching job families. Said that the title is a hang up for them although they really like my background and work.

I was interviewing for a freelance job and asked about the creative director (small, new company). The CEO said they haven’t hired one yet and it took everything in my power to ask to be considered for that role. He wants to continue the convo tomorrow. I have 15 years of experience and have done the job of people and project manager and directed large content before. Without the title or salary! I cleared my project manager interview in wells Fargo during early July and I got confirmation that I'm selected.

Later i was told that positions are on hold due to business reformation.

Any idea when this wil be cleared and offers will be rolled out ?

I've seen that being a project manager is a common exit, but I'm wondering if that's a dead end career wise. Can you pivot to product managment, something in operations, internal strategy group, or just boomerang back to consulting? For context, I'm interviewing at a bank for a PM role and wondering what my options are, assuming I land the gig, if it turns out I don't like the bank / team. Any insight or perspective would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

What’s the salary I should ask when switching to another company? Project manager/5yoe/SC/PMP and CSM certified/experience with commercial consulting so no clearance but have an interview with public sector firm
