Is brand/creative strategy considered too generalist for in house? I keep getting feedback that I'm not specialized enough. I have a good 8-10 years experience (did switch over from a non-strategy but complementary role). Or does in house really not want agency peeps?

Talked to a recruiter about a Senior Portfolio Development Manager role at M12 (Microsoft’s VC). Base is 160-180k + 15% bonus + stock grant (idk how much this is). My current salary is 158 and will go up to 180k in July. I’m thinking it doesn’t make sense to apply for this role. Can someone validate my thoughts + share more information about the role if you have some?

Hey guys need help evaluating two offers: offer A: technical product manager, TC 110k. Offer B: product analyst, TC 140k. Offer A offers better work exp and I want to do PM work, offer B pays more and has the potential to internal transfer to a PM role within a year, but it’s obviously not guaranteed. I had my first interview for an in-house position with the HR Manager last Thursday. She said they were looking to hire before the end of the month and next steps were to have one-on-ones with the rest of the team. I haven't heard anything back and we're almost half-way through the month. Should I follow-up and ask for the status of my application?

For some companies, does the Sr Analyst title equate to Associate title in tech/newer companies? I’ve noticed that for Corp Strat roles at more traditional, older companies you often don’t see the Associate title, so trying to understand what is equatable across positions.

Have you interviewed for a job where you haven’t even spoken to the recruiter? At this company I’ve dealt with the interview scheduler, hiring manager and even a panel for my second interview with the director and another senior manager…but no recruiter.

I reached out, but still nothing…so I don’t even know the real comp, benefits or specifics of this job. Has anyone encountered this? I’m thinking I’d speak to the recruiter once an offer is made.
