I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. How do I let the client know that I would be interested in joining them? They’re not actively recruiting for any position but I know they’d benefit from it. Serious responses only :)

Is brand/creative strategy considered too generalist for in house? I keep getting feedback that I'm not specialized enough. I have a good 8-10 years experience (did switch over from a non-strategy but complementary role). Or does in house really not want agency peeps?

Talked to a recruiter about a Senior Portfolio Development Manager role at M12 (Microsoft’s VC). Base is 160-180k + 15% bonus + stock grant (idk how much this is). My current salary is 158 and will go up to 180k in July. I’m thinking it doesn’t make sense to apply for this role. Can someone validate my thoughts + share more information about the role if you have some?

I feel burnt out and want to leave my job (have felt this for months now) but right now probably isn’t a good time to do that. Since my agency had layoffs, they are expecting me to take on a lot of the work left behind. Any advice or suggestions on keeping my sanity? Does ESPP make sense? Most companies deduct a portion from monthly paycheck to accrue over a period and then do the purchase at offering end. During this period of time, most tech stocks would already appreciated anyway to offset the 15% discount. Anyone with me?
