Question:
Why do you want to come to pwc when you are already in consulting at another Big4 firm?

Do you ever feel like the account lead treats you like a vendor and not a team member? Did promotion letter for AST released for SEP22?

Hello! I am in Charlotte and I am working for an Engineering Consulting company based out of Maryland. I am working on getting my SHRM certification in January. Right now I am making $65k (my last position was payroll specialist, and I just moved into the HR side of things this last month). Should I expect a pay raise in January after getting certified? I will be the only employee in the HR department of a company of 100+ employees.

My team leaves around 6-6:30pm but is online till 11-12am... I don’t get it. I like my job but I don’t like it that much to be working constantly. Slowly losing motivation.

Every time I check a post in this bowl I think my phone broke. Takes me a few sec to remember the "broken" part on top is because of the white text on the white shopping cart background.

I was critical of society for imposing the 6’ preference. Then I remembered my own preference for below 30s. Subsequently I reached an agreement with myself and was no longer critical of the society 🤝

There were substantial layoffs at firm and management has denied, saying they were performance related (mostly bullshit). They have not ruled out [further] layoffs in the future.

I don’t want to lose my job, and it would absolutely suck. But I almost feel numb and hard to even get too worked up over the prospect given how emotionally exhausting this year has been. Maybe bcz I feel somewhat safe, but I feel like if it happens, it does, and I’ll find a way to recover/move on.

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??
