Stop using debit cards. Credit cards have much better consumer protections.

The Bank will refund your cash once you file a fraudulent claim but your Apple Cash will always have a negative balance meaning you do not have to pay it back. This happened to me but my balance is only a negative $400.
Therefore I have to pay Apple the $400 if I ever want to use Apple Cash again.

I had setup with my bank a separate account that is only used for paying bills, etc. My real funds is not tied to it at all. Use it like a rechargeable gift credit card. No one can get more out of this account than what I transfer to settle bills. Consider doing the same.

So call your bank and dispute the transaction. It never fails to amaze me how there is such lack of basic financial understanding out there (then again, we don’t seem to teach financial management in the education curriculum anyway).

SA2. The bank is not obligated to credit you for a debit card transaction. Only for Credit Card transactions. This is covered in the financial training you mentioned.
The bank can set a new debit number for the same account if they wish, if they do you don't have to close the account. This js at the bank's discretion.

Doesn’t make it a credit transaction, makes it an electronic transfer

Already cancelled card but not before they made 4 transactions.
Call your bank right away. How did you know about it?

This happens a lot to debit cards. The most common way for people to lift your card info is often when you use debit cards for gas at the pump. Watch out for that! And yes the bank should refund you.
I had to close and reopen new accounts when something similar happened to me. Change your password on your account too if you haven’t already.
