I was hoping to know if anyone here working at MBB firms in Toronto knows whether MBB firms are still recruiting during this time or delaying interviews (for analyst-associate roles) because of the covid? Much appreciated.

I’m a midlevel Big Law associate applying for in-house positions that ask for experience drafting and negotiating agreements. I have negotiated a few agreements, but I am light in the area, though I have the substantive knowledge and I’m comfortable marking up agreements. If asked about my negotiation experience in an interview, I plan to talk about the agreements I have negotiated and some of the issues that came up. How would you recommend I talk about my negotiation skills in an interview?

I’ve been trying to get into The Walt Disney Company for years and can’t seem to make any progress. I’ve tried introducing myself and connecting with recruiters on LinkedIn and of course, applying to jobs on their site. Would anyone happen to have any words of advice for someone trying to transition from the ad industry into the entertainment industry?

Hi folks. I’m a data scientist at a T2/B4 firm that does fairly technical work. I am prepping for interviews to transition to SWE-data at a big tech company and currently have a little over 1 yoe.

Since prep usually takes a while for swe, I have not started seriously applying. However, I am likely to receive an offer for 110-120k at another consulting firm. I was hoping to get some thoughts from other technical folks that made the transition. More in comments

3rd GMAP prep exam and score plunged from the previous 720 (V41, Q48) to 670 (V35, Q47). So disheartened. 😞 I got 3 reading passages back to back since the beginning of the verbal section so that may have freaked me out a little but still it's a big drop. I have 1 more month to the exam. Hi moms. My son just turned two and he seems to suddenly develop a fear of strangers, including kids at his age at the playground. Is this normal? We took him out of daycare 1 year ago and have been very cautious during the pandemic: less interactions with relatives and friends, playground only when there is less to none people. I am wondering whether it is an early sign of autism, or normal mental development, or just bcoz of pandemic.

I started a job in May of this year. I’m in need of a major surgery that will take me out of work for 2-4 weeks. Every week I wait the pain and situation gets worse, however I’m not comfortable taking time off when I just getting started. My question: how many months should I work before request off?
