What’s your firm’s parental leave policy (maternity and paternity) in the event of the birth or adoption of a child?

What is the most egregious thing you have experience working in this industry?

I feel burnt out and want to leave my job (have felt this for months now) but right now probably isn’t a good time to do that. Since my agency had layoffs, they are expecting me to take on a lot of the work left behind. Any advice or suggestions on keeping my sanity? I feel suffocated staying in my current role and want to cry at the thought of doing more work for the agency. I feel like I have no choice unless I’m willing to be unemployed :(

How are layoffs decided at B4 and Midtier? Is it from on high (i.e. your utilization and outlook is shit). Is it the partner(s) you work under being like oh yeah fuck this guy, let him go and let's keep Debby who hasn't billed dick in a dick year. Just curious. Recently promoted, but drunkenly pessimistic.

I came to another country for a job and now every agency is on freeze, laying people off, or closed doors until this blows over.
I miss my girlfriend and I can't even leave.

Myself and a few people in the team are having a huge slump right now. We are in a SAAS company and we’re only managing around 50-60% of our target but our activity is higher than ever. We do a lot of calls per day & the strategy focuses on hyper personalised emails for prospects & complimentary auto cadences too - anyone experience this & have tips for how we can refresh our process to get back top performance?

I had my first interview for an in-house position with the HR Manager last Thursday. She said they were looking to hire before the end of the month and next steps were to have one-on-ones with the rest of the team. I haven't heard anything back and we're almost half-way through the month. Should I follow-up and ask for the status of my application?

I have been at the current hospital I work at in administration for about 11 years now. I am treated great, love the people and love the hours. They allow me to really create my own schedule based on my needs and have taken great care of me over the past 11 years. The only problem is that our CEO has stated that we will never be a company that gives yearly raises, merit based or cost of living. I have been offered another job with a competing hospital but scared to leave. Advise?

How did your agency handle layoffs? All-agency meeting before they started? After they ended? Both?

A patient of mine essentially asked me to fraudulently bill his insurance the other day. My response was records can be audited at anytime which could result in my license being put at risk. He asked me how many times has that happened? I was like that doesn’t matter. I spent way too much time, money and effort to get to where I am.

Does anyone have any tips for how to process and deal with the seemingly never ending flow of emails? Is it appropriate for a junior associate to set certain times during the day to respond?

How did you get comfortable with managing people and bearing a lot of expectations? Are you someone who thrives with this or experiences it as stressful? Creative work to me was a lot more interesting without managing others, but it is part of my life now. just wondering how other people feel, and if it's normal for me to be overwhelmed sometimes.

So.. had a job process that started in Feb (for a variety of reasons) but now finally getting to acceptance and start date in July. Comp is fine but now that we are half way through the calendar year bonus pro-ration means that Year 1 comp would be a paycut.
