Have you ever been reached out to by a recruiter about a position that is not really in your wheel house? It’s part of my job but not the entirety of my job. I’m an ABM and this position was marketing content manager - lots of video shoots, commercials etc. if you were - did you interview for it knowing it’s not really your strong suit?

Is anyone getting totally unrelated job opportunity inquiries for recruiters at Amazon? A technical recruiter just reached out to me for a Sr. or Principal PM job to a totally unrelated industry/function and I’m puzzled. Are they just trying to throw in a big net and see what comes up?

Proper Coronavirus safety measures aside, I loathe WFH. Now that we all have to do it, I think many are finding out it’s overrated. Just bc open offices suck doesn’t mean WFH is enjoyed by everyone.

5 month ago I joined Ceridian IT as remote. Due to nature of work, I have very little to no involvement with other parts of my team. I like what I do, pay is ok, manager is not so involved. That’s pretty much my life rn. With all the news about recession and what not, what do you think about Ceridian’s future?

What is EY policy for US passport application reimbursement? Which non-billable charge code? I am a frequent traveller in EY and classified that way too in the system.

How does everyone feel about "trial runs" instead of being given an actual promotion? Basically, doing the job for 3 months and if it doesn't work out, you go back to your old role. But the role you are doing as a trial has far more pressure and responsibility than your previous role. I'm really trying to gauge how I should feel about this and if this is common.

During Covid I bounced around a lot (had 3 jobs over 21 months) and was actually fired from my last job in December.

I’m approaching YE compensation discussions and was curious to see what folks/the industry are paying for institutional middle-market sales/distribution/business-development roles. I have 3yrs of experience with the same firm and am currently working as a sales analyst for the institutional sales team in NA. I have experience with traditional long only solutions, real estate (primarily value add funds), and a sector specific hedge fund. Any and all feedback is welcome!
