Hi All,
Need suggestions here. Please help me out. I was interviewed with IBM and got selected. Waiting for offer letter. Meanwhile got selected in another company and got offer too. Put down my ppr. Offer from another company is way beyond than IBM almost 22% more in terms of fixed. Now I’m confused that once IBM releases their offer then should I ask them to match with my holding or not ? Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM

PwC grants a special one time “milestone” bonus to those promoted to manager (need to start as an associate with the firm, senior hires were previously eligible but would only get half of the bonus).
Assuming you were hired as an associate under the current rules then you will be granted a bonus of 20% of your new manager salary once promoted. This is in addition to your annual performance bonus.
When I got promoted this is what i got:
$120k new salary (from $105k)
$24k manager bonus
$15k annual performance bonus
When I got promoted to Manager, my base salary went up 10.2% + PBB of $3.2k + milestone bonus of $6.5k.
Honestly after reading this thread, I commend PwC for celebrating it's milestone for the employees. We basically got 1/4th of it. Good for you guys!
S3s, you know where to interview next!
GT-er, here for comments, so I can feel even worse about our/my 6%ish bonus every year.
I’m not aware of any other Big 4 that has the program. I’m also pretty sure the new bonus is 20% of new manager salary. It used to be 25%.
Must be nice.
^i think advisory takes the cake actually
or we can all just go to industry and make a double digit % bonus
EVERY, YEAR
$6.5k before taxes at EY
6.5k is the milestone bonus? Across all service lines?
It is 65ish% of 20% of your new manager salary.
I’m also very confused by most of this thread. I thought bonuses were 5-8% at meh firms and 8-12% at B4
The 20% is a one time manager milestone in addition to the normal performance based bonus. The manager milestone is in the process of being phased out though.
Manager 1 which firm??? I just confirmed at EY it’s 6.5k for promo bonus and then your standard minuscule PBB. So lame
Also our SM milestone bonus is $8.5k, in case anyone's wondering..
8.5k for being a slave for so many years ...nice

Wait, Manager promotion bonus at EY is only $6.5k?!!!! Why am I still here?!!!!
I take back what I said. PwC1 is right.
It’s only $6.5k?! I thought it’s $10!!
