I got offer from EY GDS kochi, in Business Valuations profile.

But issue is they have give offer for contact period of 6 month and mention that they will make me permanet employee of EY after 6 month contact if performance is good.

I am interested in profile but sure whether they will really make me permanent after 6 month contract is over.

Does a data analysis/ dashboards specialization offer better professional prospects than the alternatives for public sector consultants? I studied it in college but haven't done much of it lately and I'm worried I'm limiting myself.

I feel burnt out and want to leave my job (have felt this for months now) but right now probably isn’t a good time to do that. Since my agency had layoffs, they are expecting me to take on a lot of the work left behind. Any advice or suggestions on keeping my sanity? I feel suffocated staying in my current role and want to cry at the thought of doing more work for the agency. I feel like I have no choice unless I’m willing to be unemployed :(

Anyone ever get weird comments in your evals? Not really super negative but comments like “he appears to be disconnected though that might just be a matter of working style/WFH,” or “he needs to be more efficient” and when you ask the partner who wrote those comments, he tells you it was because of that one instance you took longer than usual to finish something.

Is it strange to get tired around 9:30 and go to bed at 10-10:30? I’m 27 and my family thinks it’s weird. I do feel old approaching 30 so I feel like it’ll only get worse.

Situation: finished first round; advancing to next round; 1st round interviewers were at SM/D/P level.

If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB?  Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?

Project has not been going okay over the last 3 months, but continues onward through December. My client is beginning to have layoffs. Additionally, the client employee attitude towards consultants has become very negative.

i feel so poor after i look at how much i’m paying in taxes and retirement contributions every paycheck. I’m contemplating not maxing out my retirement accounts anymore :(

edit: i put in about 23% of my paycheck - 7% in 401k and 16% in a Roth 401k.
