Will my company find out if I use my work laptop to take a zoom interview with another company?

Have you ever been reached out to by a recruiter about a position that is not really in your wheel house? It’s part of my job but not the entirety of my job. I’m an ABM and this position was marketing content manager - lots of video shoots, commercials etc. if you were - did you interview for it knowing it’s not really your strong suit?

How do you navigate escaping the office for 2.5 hours for a full-time interview? Are managers typically understanding of your situation, should you just be honest?

I failed HC earlier this year, if I contact my recruiter again, do I have to go through the phone interview again or directly to loop interview?

Prepping for a CRO interview with the CEO of a smaller tech company (approx 70 employees) experiencing explosive growth. They want someone to run sales, alliances, & marketing, with heavy influence around product development so not really a traditional CRO role. Apparently “people have other interest than work” and “people are different and come from diff backgrounds” are foreign concepts to my partner.
